H03  /  Questions

Answers, in full, without hedging.

  • 01Will you tell me what to throw out?

No. Not as a suggestion, not as a ranked list, not as a gentle hint. The service produces a count of what you marked as unworn, grouped by category, and stops there.

There is no keep-or-discard column anywhere in the product, and no wording that treats owning an unworn garment as a mistake. What you do with the number is not our business.

  • 02Can you value my clothes so I can sell them?

No. We do not appraise garments, we do not estimate resale prices, we do not recommend marketplaces and we do not list anything for sale.

Two reasons. There is no reliable data source for what an individual second-hand garment is worth, and matching buyers to sellers is a transaction we take no responsibility for. The output is an inventory, nothing more.

  • 03What happens to the photographs I upload?

Photographs of your garments are never used to train any model, ours or anyone else's. Pictures of what is in a wardrobe are pictures from inside a home, and they are treated that way.

They are stored only to produce your inventory, kept for as long as your record exists, and deleted within 30 days of you deleting the record or closing the account. You can delete any individual photograph at any time. The full detail — categories of data, legal bases, retention, transfers, and your right to complain to the CNIL — is in the privacy policy.

Photographs of a person wearing clothes are rejected at upload. The service only accepts garments laid flat or on a hanger.

  • 04How accurate is the recognition, and who decides the final grouping?

Recognition sorts garments into categories and flags likely duplicates. It gets things wrong: the same style in three colours, similar knitwear, a jacket that reads as a coat.

You confirm every grouping. The counts are then calculated from your confirmed record, in your browser — no model is ever asked to produce a number. Full terms are in the AI notice.

  • 05Why is the free tier capped at 20 pieces?

Because a partial count says nothing. “Six of twenty were unworn” is not a finding. “Seventy-four of a hundred and eighty” is.

The cap is stated before you photograph anything, not once you are halfway through. A typical wardrobe runs to 80–200 pieces, which is exactly why counting one by hand is something almost nobody finishes.

  • 06Can I cancel, and what happens to my allowance?

You can cancel at any time from your subscription page, in two steps, without contacting anyone. Cancelling is exactly as easy as subscribing. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for.

Monthly allowances reset at the start of each period and do not carry over. There are no credit packs and no top-ups. Credits are a usage allowance for this service only — they are not money, not stored value, not redeemable for cash and not transferable.

  • 07Refunds and the 14-day right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract. For a digital service, that right ends early only if you have expressly requested that the service start during the period and expressly waived the right of withdrawal — two separate, unticked confirmations at checkout, repeated back to you in the order confirmation email.

If those two confirmations were not given, the fourteen days run as normal. The procedure and the standard withdrawal form are on the withdrawal page, and the refund and dispute terms are in the CGV.

  • 08Is there an age limit?

Accounts are for people aged 15 and over. Under 18, the account must be opened with the agreement of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the subscription. We do not knowingly keep an account for anyone under 15, and any such account is closed and its data deleted on notice to support@zarismode.com.

  • 09Does the service work outside France?

Yes. The service is available worldwide, in English, priced in USD inclusive of tax. The operator is established in France, so French consumer law and the consumer mediation procedure described on the mediation page apply to the contract.
